It’s been over a year since I was in London for the most wonderful experience of my life.

I’ve

  • Completed my Senior Seminar.
  • Lost +60lbs.
  • Graduated.
  • Turned 22.
  • Got a job.
  • Lived on my own.
  • Paid Bills.
  • Did my Sem AGAIN.
  • Got sponsored to do my Sem by Rosetta Stone.

A lot has happened, and I can’t help but think it’s because of the experience I had in London. I miss my beautiful friends that I met there and I miss all of the places we went.

I miss London, but I know now that I would never be able to stay away forever.

Plans for the day:

Notting Hill (the neighborhood we are staying in), Portobello Road Market - Cheap and Chic, The British Museum and High Tea!

Actuality - We did all of that except High Tea. Instead we enjoyed the fun and excitement of an evacuation due to a mysterious gas leak (that we didn’t find out about until we got back to the apartment and the whole event “shall remain a mystery”). As you can see in the picture - This is the city norm for Gayle, and I am clearly freaking out.

So, since we didn’t have High Tea in London we are going to have Champagne in Paris! Leaving in the AM!

Au Revoir!

The rest of the day with Aunt Gayle

A Day out with Aunt Gayle

We decided to go see Big Ben and Westminster Abbey - the line was HORRENDOUS! But we stuck it out and got in (sorry no pictures). We followed the procession trail right into the actual ceremony! We could see where the Royal Couple took there vows and where the Queen sat! We also walked down the Mall and saw a part of the changing of the guard. Along with all of that, we saw them taking down the wedding decorations and taking apart the various news trailers and buildings. Believe it or not, it was still pretty busy.

Then we did the London Eye! I was huge and really awesome - got some great pictures up at the very top! It was a beautiful day so everything was clear and visible. (I’m pretty sure we would see Florida).

Then we had a really nice dinner with some mellow music to end our very eventful day.

More Pictures to follow!
